Energizing Green Juice
This is my absolute favorite green juice recipe! It lends just the right amount of energy, allowing me to skip my morning coffee entirely. I know that there are so many different green juice recipes out there but this really is the perfect green juice for anyone who is nervous to try juiced vegetables or is just beginning to experiment with green juicing. Juicing is an excellent way to sneak extra greens into your diet as well! This is a beautiful green juice for that purpose, as the vegetable taste is masked by the sweet apples and refreshing cucumbers! The lemon juice also gives a wonderful hint of citrus. My favorite way to make this is by preparing the juice the night before and fixing it in the morning with a teaspoon of spirulina powder for an extra boost of energy. It's best to drink this within 3 days so that the juice retains many of the nutrients.
This green juice is incredibly energizing and filled with heaps of nutrition! It really is a healing drink as all the vitamins and minerals are absorbed straight into your bloodstream. This happens because as you juice the vegetables, the process strips the fiber away and leaves you with a concentrated amount of vitamins and minerals. Since there is no fiber, the nutrients are more easily digested as a liquid form and flood your cells and body with energizing nutrients! But since there is a lack of fiber when juicing, I like to compensate by drinking this with foods high in fiber, like my creamy oatmeal or red lentil coconut curry soup, to get enough fiber in my diet each day. Enjoy!
