Smoked Salmon Tacos with a Chopped Berry Salad On Top
For the new year, I wanted to create a recipe that had an unexpected flavor twist, And one that was also so freaking good that you would be excited to make it all year long. And that’s what we have here 😍
And I am thrilled to partner with California Giant berry Farms this year! Showing you all the ways you can get creative in the kitchen when cooking with berries - from savory, to sweet and everything in between.
Now this little number was inspired by my favorite taco shop in cayucos. This taco really is half taco and half salad. Warm tortillas are stuffed with smoked salmon and topped with the crunchiest, most vibrant chopped berry salad. 🤩
I was shocked the first time I made this. I discovered that I was actually seeking out the flavor of the berries with every bite! The pieces of strawberries and blueberries add a little touch of sweetness that brings the salad to life! They became the most intriguing part of the taco! They’re the secret ingredient that you really must try.
A little savory, a little sweet and perfectly balanced with each bite. A recipe that highlights the versatility and creativity of berries as an ingredient used even in meals that are traditionally savory :)
Enjoy!
