Strawberry Cream Soda
Serves 1
For the Syrup:
1 cup California Giant Strawberries, chopped into tiny pieces
2–3 tbsp sugar
1 tbsp water
Sparkling water
Ice cubes
Whipped cream, save for topping
Edible flowers, optional
Start by combining the chopped strawberries with 2–3 tablespoons of sugar and 1 tablespoon of water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Simmer the mixture for about 8–10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the strawberries break down and the mixture becomes a syrup.
Once chilled, fill a tall glass with ice, add 2–3 tablespoons of the strawberry syrup (or more to taste), and top it off with sparkling water. Finish with a generous swirl of whipped cream on top and garnish with a fresh strawberry or edible flowers if you like. Stir gently, sip, and enjoy!
