Orange and Peach Smoothie
A summer smoothie made with delicious oranges, sweet peaches and creamy banana. Conjuring up the taste of a childhood favorite - the creamsicle.
Rummaging through my kitchen over the weekend to find anything that could quickly make up a smoothie bowl - no acai powder, an empty bag of maca and no nut milk in sight. Realizing that a smoothie bowl wasn’t going to happen today, I just kept it simple. Threw a fresh orange into a blender with some left over frozen peaches and bananas, making a delicious, yet simple smoothie. No fancy powders and no nut butters needed - just a few pieces of fruit. The fresh orange and peaches smoothly blend with the banana, conjuring up the delicious taste of an old school creamsicle. The right amount of citrus paired with the creamy banana and dash of vanilla makes for a healthy version of the classic popsicle. Forgot how much I loved those little treats when I was a kid, awakening memories of summer trips to Santa Cruz. Now how to make healthy the other classic, the pushpop…
