Why make ordinary whipped cream when you can make the most vibrantly green matcha infused cream!
And for the star of the show…our beloved California Giant Berries Strawberries, perfectly sweet and juicy, generously slathered in that irresistible matcha cream!
All of this goodness is nestled within soft, pillowy Japanese sweet bread, creating a heavenly bite reminiscent of angel food cake.

Strawberry Matcha-Cream Sweet Bread
Makes 2 Sandwiches
3 tbsp matcha powder
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2-3 tsp agave, honey or maple
4 slices of Japanese Milk Bread
12 California Giant Berries Strawberries, cut 6 in half and 6 whole
Start by making the cream - add the heavy whipping cream, matcha and agave into a large bowl and whisk until it turns into whipped cream, roughly 5 minutes. Set aside.
Now cut the crust off the sandwich slices. To make one sandwich, add a dollop of the matcha whipped cream on the bread and smooth into an even layer. Place the three whole strawberries on top of the matcha cream diagonally down the sandwich. Add a few more cut strawberries on to the same slice. Now add a smaller dollop of the matcha whipped cream on top of the strawberries, filling in the gaps between the strawberries with cream.
Now take the second slice of bread and the matcha whipped cream on it. Place on top of the other sandwich. Wrap the sandwich in plastic wrap and set in the fridge for about 20 minutes. Make the second sandwich the same way.
Once ready, remove the plastic wrap and cut diagonally in half. Enjoy!
